Stick to those fitness resolutions

Did you resolve to exercise more in 2005? Then chances are that you're feeling a little less motivated than you did four months ago and are struggling to keep up the pace.

Did you resolve to exercise more in 2005? Then chances are that you're feeling a little less motivated than you did four months ago and are struggling to keep up the pace.

Take action:
Keep a log record – it will help you to focus on your goals and to move forward; involve a friend – you'll be surprised at how quickly time passes when you chat to someone while working out; get the support of your family and friends; set a different goal – aside from wanting to shape up, how about setting other goals such as doing the Big Walk?; be prepared for setbacks, but don't let them ruin everything; and reward yourself for each successful week of training.
