Yr opnion

Hi Doc

What is your opnion on this diet:

Daily : Vegetables 300g (split over 3 meals - 100g/meal)
Protein : 270g - also over 3 meals, only lean proteins (steak/chick breats /lean fish, egg)
Dairy : 175ml plain yogurt
Carbs: 5 Provitas/Snackerbread per day. No other
Fruit: 2-3/day
Fat: No added fat

I think that the protein intake is far, far too high. The daily RDA for adults for protein is only 56 gram and you intend eating nearly 5 times more! This is excessive. Have a moderate portion of low-fat protein 3 times a day not exceeding 100g in total. Your calcium intake is also too low - have 3 cups of fat-free yoghurt or milk a day. Increase your intake of low-GI carbs to 5 portions a day.
