Workout time

Am I right in saying that you should only spend an hour in the gym and anything that exceeds one hour can damage results.

No, not at all. There's no basis at all for saying that more exercise is dangerous. Where this myth probably comes from is that people who exercise too much can become injured, but that's only because they are not accustomed to training that much. The body is remarkble, it adapts very well to training and that's why some people will train for two or three hours and have no adverse effects.

So no, it's not true, but it can happen that one overdoes exercise. That's not a general rule, but more one that each person must be concerned with.
