Whitlow

Hi,
I developed whitlow on my R index thumb. What is the cause? I am pregnant is this harmful for me and my baby ?

Roxy, it is probably due to a bacterial infection and the best would be to apply an antibacterial ointment like Bactroban®. If it doesn’t clear up within a couple of days, the best would be to see your doctor and maybe to get antibiotics. In the meantime you don’t have to worry about either of you being in danger.
