white marks on face

my 2 boys aged 7 and 9 have these white marks on their faces. Some of the round marks are dry and flaky. It does not hurt or ich but it does not look good. It seems to have spread from the 1 child and now both have it and this too has spread all over the face. What is it and what causes it?

Dear aal
This is caused by a fungal infection. Try Lamisil cream on the spots but you need to use it for a while - about 4 weeks non-stop.

It sounds like "omlope". You normally get it from dogs? It is contageous and would keep on spredding until you get an ointment to stop it.
