What is the difference between nordette and triphasyl? Which one has more side effects? Which one is more commonly used and why?

Nordette is monophasic, i.e. all the active pills have the same dose of hormone. Triphasil is triphasic so the doses vary. This is thought to mimic the normal menstrual cycle more accurately. Different people react diffeently to different pills, so there isn't a set list of side effects for each pill. Either of them is fine to start with.
