which is better...

...for perking up the butt - the spinner or that cycling machine where you are seated the whole time, legs peddling in front of you?

HI Leanne

SIx of one, half a dozen of the other, so to speak. THere's no single option that is better than the others, and so you have to adopt the pragmatic viewpoint, which is to say that you need to do whatever you will do! That is, do what you enjoy. And you'll quickly find which of the two you prefer, and then make that your focus. The "resistance" that you build is not a physiological one, incidentally, but rather mental. Your body won't become "resistant" to the training if you do just one, but you can certainly become a bit "overdone" if you do only one activity. The variety of mixing them is good, and so I agree with Ben, though for a different reason!

Good luck

id say use both, that way your body doesnt get used to 1 exercise and thus wont build up a resistance to it as easily. thats why weight lifters do different exercises instead of say doing 20 sets of just bench press. by doing different exercises they work different parts of the muscle. so the same should apply to your case.
