where am i going wrong?

i've been trying to lose weight since i gave birth nearly a year ago, it's been going rather slowly but at the moment i don't think i've been making any progress at all.

i watch what i eat, i've been trying to stay off carbs and fried food. i eat basically protein with just a little carb. i also started taking diet coke cuz i've got a sweet tooth.is that ok?

also i love banana, even tough i've not been taking for a long time now cuz people say it's fattening, is that correct?

what about toasting my bread, does it 'take off' the fat in it?

please i need help with eating the right foods without going through much hassle.i'm gradually becoming depressed!

please help!

You can certainly use diet coke as it contains practically no kJ and bananas are fine to eat as a fruit. Toasting bread removes a bit of water from the bread, but does not really change the kJ content. Please do check out the slimming diet on this Website: click on 'Diet' at the top of this page, 'Weight loss', ‘Balanced diet' and then on 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of such a diet), and increase your energy output by doing regular exercise (running, jogging, skipping, cycling, swimming, join a gym or Walk for Life).
