what is the recommeded daily intake of macro and micro nutrients during pregnancy

this seems almost impossible to find on the web and most normal doctors don't seem to know the answer.

Dear Liz
The increases are slight and you can use more or less the same RDA as for adult women who are not pregnant, except for iron which doubles to 30 mg per day. Most women who eat a balanced, western diet should not have a problem with ingesting sufficient micronutrients during pregnancy. The same applies to macronutrients - you no longer have to "eat for two".
