what is correct and what is not

please doc tell me what is the best 5 fruits & veg to eat raw that would also assist in weight loss cause i am a dibetic and overweight big time

Generally speaking you need to eat fruits and vegetables that have a low sugar content and a high dietary fibre content. For the fruits that means the so-called deciduous fruits like apples, pears and plums that have a lower sugar content than the tropical fruits. Berries and grapefruit are also fine as they have such a high water content. There are a wide variety of vegetables that you can eat: all the 'free vegetables' such as lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, sweet peppers, watercress, gherkins, spinach, broccoli, cabbage, etc. Even vegetables with a low-GI like sweet potato promote weight loss.
