Dear Kitty
Your liver enzyme count is an indication of liver cell damage - so if it is high, you may have an infection or inflammation or your liver is not working properly. Some drugs like cholesterol medication and alchohol can also cause your liver enzyme count to go up. It depends on the causative factor if it is treatable and it can be dangerous - your doctor should try and find the reason and give you some information regarding your problem.

The information provided does not constitute a diagnosis of your condition. You should consult a medical practitioner or other appropriate health care professional for a physical exmanication, diagnosis and formal advice.
