what exactly is primaricin

I note that some fruit juices contain primaricin and have no idea what it is. Could you please explain to me and tell me what effects it has on children - is it good or bad?

As far as I can gather, primaracin is a preservative used speciffically for it's antifungal properties. Unless a person has a specific allergy towards this substance, it should not have any adverse effects when used in the quantities neccesary for it to act as a preservative.
