what are the risks of doing gastroscopy and colonoscopy

Jazz, it is a very safe procedure and complications seldom occur. I suppose it is possible that the doctor perforates the oesophagus or colon, but this is highly unlikely. You might also vomit during the procedure, but as you go with an empty stomach the possibility of problems arising is also small. I can’t think of any complications in my practice in the last 10 years, so don’t worry. Good luck.
