weight gain

i would like to know if rice does reduce wait because i have been eating it for the past 4 years and not porridge.is this the cause of weight loss

If you have been eating brown rice which has a high fibre content, then I could imagine that it would make you lose some weight, but if you are eating white rice, then it would have the same effect as eating maize meal porridge. You may have become more active or eaten less fatty foods which may have caused the weight loss. If you have lost a lot of weight for no apparent reason, then it is important to have a medical checkup to see if you don't have an underlying condition that is causing the weight loss.
