Dear Annie
Any food or drink if used in excess has the potential to be fattening. Plain unbuttered popcorn contains 1908 kJ per 100g, so if you eat a 30g portion you will be ingesting 572 kJ which amounts to about 6% of your daily energy requirement if you are not trying to lose any weight. You can, therefore, use popcorn in moderation, as well as carrot and celery sticks, cucumber wedges and baby tomatoes to nibble on and sugarless chewing gum.
Keep up the good work.
Best regards
