Our expert says:
It is best to weigh yourself in the morning after rising and emptying the bladder and to ONLY weigh yourself once a week at more or less the same time, otherwise the normal daily fluctuations in body weight are going to drive you crazy. Body weight can fluctuate by up to 3 kg during a single day and particularly before, during and after menstruation in premenopausal women. These fluctuations are due to water retention which is again caused by changes in hormone levels (female hormones and cortisol, etc).
So weigh yourself once a week in the morning.
