Water and weight loss

Does drinking water regularly throughout the day contribute to losing weight? If yes, what is the reason?

Dear Phil
Not really. Drinking about 1,5 litres of water a day in addition to your regular liquid intake is a good idea, but it will not actively promote weight loss. Don't overdo your water intake as this can also be detrimental causing electrolyte imbalances because vital minerals like potassium are washed out of the body.
