HI Doc

I''m 26 going on 27 and i want to be a mother. i have been advised to visit a gynae.
What is the purpose of visiting a gynae before falling pregnant. what is it that they have to examine me for and how often should i visit a gynae before falling pregnant?

It is really just to check that you are in good health and that you have no gynae problems. The gynae will also be able to advise you on things like taking folic acid before falling pregnant and ensuring that you are rubella immune.

Best wishes
