i had a shoulder opp in november last year and got embolism in the lungs. i have been in for check ups did a vein scan and all fine same as xrays of the lungs. the lab people already said that i should speak to my gp to see if i can stop i think i feel ok with out it 3 tab for such a long period is a lot of tab sure it has negitive ifects

Hi Penny
It is not really bad for you and some people do need to take warfarin for the rest of their lives to prevent a recurrence of the lung embolism. It is just a schlepp to take it as you need to constantly monitor it, be careful what you eat and can't use certain medications with it.
