Cod liver oil on the other hand is rich in vitamins A and D, but one must be careful not to take too much because overdoses of these 2 vitamins can also lead to problems (e.g. so-called hypervitaminosis). Nowadays many standard foods are supplemented with vitamin D (for example margarine and milk - check on the labels). Are you confined to your bed? of why can't you sit outside in the sun for half an hour a day? If you are able to move around then make a plan and sit in the sun every day with bare arms and/or legs so that you body can make its own vit D.
