Dear Sham
Vegetarians should take a supplement that contains the adult RDA for these 3 nutrients: iron 15 mg/day; vitamin B12 3.0 microgram/day; folic acid 200 microgram/day. In addition it is advisable to take a calcium supplement if you do not use any milk and dairy products at the level of 1000 mg per day (Calcium Sandoz) and also a source of omega-3 (Salmon oil capsules, or if you are a strict vegetarian then flax oil).
