Vaccinations

My daughter is now 3 and never had her 18 mnth injection. I have been advised that there is a problem in giving the pertussis vaccine at this age. What is the problem and how do I know they will not make an error at the clinic and give her this one by mistake even if I advise them of her age and what could the damage be if I had it done now???

Dear Bethany
Pertussis is licenced for use in children up to 7 years. She can still have her 4-6 year DPT ( diphteria, pertussis and tetanus) without a problem.
