Underactive thyroid

Hi
I have an underactive thyroid and am on 0.05 eltroxin daily. I would like to know if there is anything else - supplements / vitamins - that I could take to help things.
Thanks

Dear Leigh
It is not advisable to take any other treatment for an underactive thyroid except thyroid hormone replacement therapy such as the Eltroxin that was prescribed for you. The reason is that it is not necessary to take additional iodine or kelp becuase all the table salt sold in SA is fortified with iodine already.
