To CS re: why not just move on?

Hi there CS,

Please don't take offense, but I would like to know how to just simply move on?.....you make it sound so easy.

Thank you.

It's not easy --- nothing on earth which is worthwhile is ever easy --- but it is necessary and valuable. The assumption that it will be impossible is the main thing that stops one from doing it ; that and the habit of allowing oneself to indulge in thinking about the person and reminiscing about the good things in an otherwise bad relationship. When such thoughts come up, slap them away and mentally change the subject. Moving on means not deliberately standing in the same place, but literally moving on to other concerns, other activities, other thoughts
