Thrombo embolic disease is where blood clots form, causing blockage of blood flow. In some cases, the blood clot can dislodge and travel to the lungs. Blood clots formed in the heart can shoot loose and cause a stroke. It is very important to consult your doctor to establish the cause for the blood clots. It is also important that the condition is treated. Usually the blood clots are treated with Aspirin or Warfarin to thin the blood and to prevent the clots from forming.
