Our expert says:
Way back at the early years of the last century, a guy called Rorschach, developed a test, of the type we call a projective test --- namely it isn't like asking "What's 2 plus 2 ?" which has only one objective right answer --- but it is a test with no right or wrong answers, in which your answers can be revealing about your personality and concerns. So he collected some specific inkblots ( the sort we used to make as kids, when you dribble a small amount of ink onto one side of a piece of paper, hen fold it in half, so it squidges and blotches and makes a complex shape. People were asked to look at the blotches and say what they thoughtn they saw in them ( like you can "see" images in the fire, or in the clouds.
It isn't considered enormously helpful in most quarters, but can be useful at times, in a exploratory way. And maybe it could make a good party game !
