Tests

Can the doc tell by inspecting the cervix if there is an infection present? Can you also tell me what a wet smear is. Thank you.

Sometimes the cervix looks inflamed and that diagnosis can be made. A wet smear is a swab which is taken, put on a slide and looked at under the microscope.
