Hi daar Doc,

Sien http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000157.htm
Mens sal dit net opvolg as dit effentjies is.

Where do you live again? How on earth can 2 cardiologists miss a hole in your heart problem?!!

You gonna have to have heart surgery?

Its a Transesophageal Echo. Go to heartsite.com/html/tee.html its got extensive pictures and info on the procedure - it seems like its an outpatient procedure and you cant drive obviously after it and need to have someone take you home!

Hope the above helps! Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks Anxious. I am still stunned about what the Specialist found and am a bit scared of tomorrow's results and findings. But I'd rather be informed and now what I'm dealing with. Can you believe that in the past 4 months I had 4 sonars done by 2 different Cardiologists and they are only aware of the Mitral valve problem? I am getting to a stage that I don't know who to trust anymore...

My word Cornel you sound in a bad way. I am glad you did go to a gp and not wait for the cardiologist. It sounds as though something serious seems to have been missed, which doesn't sound good at all. Please let us know how it goes tomorrow.

All the best.
