tampons - how safe?

morning.... how safe are tampons, honestly? i read somewhere that in the long run they might cause problems if used often. please shed light - i travel a lot and find them convinient and comfy> i don't have to worry about a LEAK as i would with sanitary pads. kindly assist.!

Ther is no problem with tampons as long as you chnage them regularly.

Tampons are fine if used correctly. You must change them every 4-8 hours (8 hours for sleeping), and you mustn't use a higher absorbency to avoid changing more often, and obviously wash your hands thoroughly before and after insertion:)
