Definitely taebo, because it's higher in intensity and gets your heart rate and breathing rate up more than pilates. That is not to say pilates is not good for you - it's very good, but it's a very different TYPE of exercise. It is more static, involved with control and stability and so is good for posture and back health. Taebo is dynamic cardio training, the best for weight loss. So my suggestion would be to go with both, but perhaps focus on the taebo more since your goal is weight loss.
