Swollen womb

Good day, I visit my dr two days ago and because of a missed period (somewhere around 1 week) he did a scan. He said that my womb was definitley swollen but also said that this could be because of a small cyst that I have on my right overy? Is this correct? Can an ovarian cyst cause your womb to swell?

Dear Poelani
Ovarian cysts can cause hormonal abnormalities. If you are worried that you are pregnant you can also do a home BHCG pregnancy test. See also http://www.4women.gov/faq/ovarian_cysts.htm
