swolen paws

hi there.
i have a 14 month old staffie whose paws are swolen..when i say paws, i mean the outer "web" on each foot has a little growth like nob that is very swollen..it is on both his front paws, between his outer toes. they have been there for at least the past month, and while the size may vary, they havent gone away completely. at first i thought they were bites but they are always in the same place so that cant be. am a bit concerned and would like to know if i should take him in for a check up and what this could possibly be.
thanks you so much

Symmetrical lesions may be normal. Swelling between the toes is ofetn caused by grass seeds that get stuck in between the toes. Please have your vet look over them to rule out other problems.
