Supper - options

thanks diet doc for your response re not having supper, makes sense. Another question pls, what about a meal replacement shake obviously a healthy one without any baddies in it, for supper? is this still too little food for the long overnight fast, i normally eat breakfast an hour after waking and a good one.

If this is ok which meal replacement shake do you recommend? what about the annique one? are they safe if not i will rather not try them. Any readers out there lost weight by replacing meals with these shakes?

Lastly if the shake is not an option how about a weigh less cup a soup for supper? is this healthy or not?

Dear Ria
If the shake provides 1/3 of your daily RDA for energy, let's say you need 2 200 cal/day, then the shake should provide at least 700 cal per serving so that you obtain the energy you require from the evening meal. I can't comment on these shakes as there are literally hundreds of different ones on the market - check if the shake contains the 700 cal per serving and about 33% of all the vitamin and mineral RDAs per serving. Also make sure that it does not contain all kinds of additives such as synephrine, which can have negative side-effects. If you just have a cup of Weighless soup you will also not be getting sufficient calories to fuel you through the night.
Best regards
