Strained hamstring tendon

After 18 months of absolutely no training following the birth of our triplets I'm finally back in the gym! (nearly) Am male, 48 years old BF% previously 15%, trained 5 days a week, resistance & cardio, pretty fit for my age. BF% now 25%, 15kg to loose! Started with 20min stationary cycling at 80% MHR. Burned 300 cals 30% from fat and felt absolutely fine. But by 17h00 couldn't walk - doc says I strained my right leg hamstring tendon. Jab, maybe Voltaren? but two days later feel fine. How long should I wait before cycling again? How slowly is slowly enough?

Setts,

Wait about a week and try again. Of coure that does not stop you from training upper body.

For a start I always give people a three day or four day split program and let them do one exercise per body part.

Keep well,
