I do not suggest that you substitute a statin with a natural remedy. Statins are well researched and lower your risk for a heart attack and strokes. If you stop taking the statin, you run a risk for these complications. Yes, it is documented that statins are associated with the development of type II diabetes (1 in 498 patients) but the benefit of statins far outweigh the risk for type II diabetes.

Where do you get your information? Test results done by the drug companies or the drug mafia. Test results are BS! It is time the medical fraternity challenged the whole farce around cholesterol. Why does your body produce cholesterol, both LDL & HDL. Because you need it to live. Get your diet right, exercise and your body will take care of itself as it produces 80% or more of your cholesterol. Before taking statin drugs make sure you know the side effects, and understand that they do not just block cholesterol, they also block, among others co-emnzyme Q10 production. Statins chop down the whole tree at the roots to get to one cholesterol branch. Get knowledgeable and make informed decisions. Ask your doctor for real proof, not some biased drug company test, that a cholesterol level higher than 3 is dangerous to your health.
