SPINAL CORD SPASM

HI

I AM EXPERIENCING ALTERNATING PAIN AND EXTREME STIFFNESS IN MY LOWER BACK SACRUM REGION. MY PHYSIO SAID THAT THE STIFFNESS MAY BE FROM SPINAL CORD SPASM.
WHAT IS THIS AND HOW CAN i RELIEVE IT?
