something sweet for after dinner


i usually find that i enjoy a sweet after dinner. sweets such as sparkles and fizz pop suckers are contain no fat. would having a fizz pop after dinner be okay as an after dinner treat? if not what can you suggest?

As I mentioned to another Reader today, carbohydrates including fruit, jam, honey, moderate quantities of sugar, boiled sweets (like sparkles or fizz pop suckers), jelly babies or marshmallows when eaten in small quantities will not cause weight gain (carbs only provide 4 cal per gram compared to fat which provides 9 cal per gram). You can certainly treat yourself to something sweet after supper as long as you don't overdo how much you eat.
