Some form of infection

Dear Doctor,
On Saturday, I noticed my vaginal discharge was more than usual, so I looked at my vagina and saw my fluids on it looked like cottage cheese and the skin looked very porous like fingertips after a long bath. But it didn' t hurt or itch and had no abnormal smell. I showed it to my boyfriend and he said it looked like an yeast infection. We still made love after though and it must have lasted at least 2 hours. When I got home, I took a look in the mirror and my vagina looked " clean"  - no cottage cheese like fluids or anything. But when I woke up this morning, it was very itchy and the discharge was whiter again. It also looks red all over almost up to my clitoris. It is wet but feels like my skin is dry and cannot stretch. I got the same one year ago, went to the doctor and she said it was only sore but no bacteria or no significant bacteria was there. But I can' t stand the itching. How can I calm it down. Is olive oil safe? Or a bacitracine ointment?

It sounds like thrush. Try Canesten pessaries.

Best wishes
