Slimming diet 2

I asked a question about the eating other snacks on the slimming diet and would like to know if this sounds like a healthy plan:
Breakfast: 40g Special K, All Bran etc with 120ml fat free milk and 1 teaspoon honey.
Snack: 3/4 cup strawberries
Snack: 100g fat free yogurt
Lunch:60g wholewheat bread with 10g extra lite flora margarine with 30g tuna in brine and 1 slice like it lean chicken roll with a salad.
Snack:80g baked beans
Snack:100g peach
Dinner:100g polenta, 150g hake, 2 servings of veggies and 10g extra lite flora margarine.
Snack:100g apples cooked in water lemon juice and spices.

Every second day i want to eat a salad with a serving of low fat protein for lunch instead of a sandwich and then replace the baked beans with 3 pro vita or rice cakes.

another question i have is do meal replacement shakes work? i went to see an agent for herbal life and he suggested i use their meal replacement shake once a day? it is made with soya protein and is low in fat and sugar - do you think it would help in loosing some weight?

Your suggested diet intake sounds fine and should result in steady weight loss. You can use products like shakes as meal replacements, but most people tend to get bored with them and also to overeat at the next meal, so it is really much more sensible to use standard foods and a nice variety of foods to make dieting easier. Remember that combining the diet with regular exercise will also improve weight loss.
