Slight burning after intercourse

I sometimes experience an uncomfortable burning sensation after intercouse, please let me know what the possible causes are.

It is normal to have some burning for an hour or two after intercourse. If it lasts longer, it may indicate a vaginal infection, a bladder infection or some other inflammation of the vagina, e.g. from an allergy.
