SINGLE UMBILICAL ARTERY

Hi there.

Please can anyone tell me the complications relating to single umbilical artery. Have you come across this before and how were the babies that you delivered with this condition. Thanks.

The majority of babies will be fine, though there is an increased chance of congenital abnormalities. A careful scan by an expert around 22 weeks is indicated.
