Side effects of wearing Contact Lenses?

Are there any side effects if you wear contact lenses....for a short or long period of time.
Please advise as i was toggling between glasses and contact lenses....
Which are a better choice?

Moodface, the glasses are safer, but if you take good care of your contacts you don’t have to be scared of wearing contact lenses. Good luck.

Just to add Moodface, if you take contact lenses you still need glasses anyway. You can't wear contact lenses all the time, the eyes need to oxygen.
Sometimes you need to give them a break. But the contacts are more nicer, comfortable, when you go to parties/functions you don't wanna wear glasses you know.
All you have to do is to wash your hands before you wear them & to clean them as required.
Hope that helps.
