Shoulder pain

I had a laporoscopy and recovering well - I just have pain in my shoulder and upper back, they say it's from the gas they use during the op dissipating. How can I relieve the pain?

I've had the procedure (aspiration of an ovarian cyst) before and coped by lying propped up for three days and taking really strong painkillers - is there another way?

Hello,
I don't know of a direct answer for your case.

If your symptoms are related to movement of the back and shoulder there may be a mechanical element. If this is the case consult your local osteopath.
