There could be a number of reasons for this. For example, if you are preoccupied or tired, you may not be as focused on being sexual anymore and may therefore not be as aware of sensations as you were previously. If you had vaginal delivery, it may be that you need to resensitise yourself to the sensation or to improve the tone of your pelvic floor muscles by doing kegels execises (search "kegels exercises" online and there are plenty of sites that can instruct you on how to do these). You could also purchase something called chinese love eggs from a sex shop; whilst these can be used for sexual stimulation, they are also good for toning the muscles as you have to hold the 'eggs' inside you. Alternatively there are things called vaginal weights that you can use - similar to the 'eggs' but with mini-weights so that you build up the tone gradually. Increasing the tone may increase the friction and sensitivity during penetration.
