rowing nutrition

my boys rows-the race lasts 25minutes, but when they train they train for up to 3hours on the water. what should their diet look like?is it really necesary to carbo-load for 3 days before the race?

Dear Renate
Click on 'Fitness' at the top of this page and then on 'Eating Correctly' and read the articles on 'Carbohydrates' and 'Proteins' which will give you the info you require. I do think that carbo-loading is a good idea for the lads.
