Repetative Strain Injurie?

I do lots of computer work. Recently I've been experiencing pain in my right hand radiating from my wrist to my index and middle finger. I also noticed a nodule forming at the base of the tendon you normaly see when moving your index finger. As the tendon moves, the nodule moves. It is worrying to me, as it seems to be enlarging. What could this be a sign of and should I see someone?
