A glass of red wine in the evening is beneficial to reducing cardiovascular risks. I am not aware that it is essential for HIV positive patients but it does contain Omega 3, which will be beneficial. You do not have to consume a glass of red wine, in order to supplement Omega 3. There are a lot of other food sources, i.e. fish, that contains Omega 3.
