RE: Post yer Poetry. For GreenEyes

I must say I enjoyed that poem very much. I thought I'd share one of mine. This was published in last years "English Alive" a publication of works by highschoollearners.

I hope Brown Eyes see

This spark, this flame I did not plan
And I’ve been enclosing it best I can.
Too timid am I to glance at he
Who makes me weak at the knee.
A blazer of bronze and inky hair,
Fair face and gallant grin most rare.
Chiselled like you’ve never seen
His frame will make Adonis green!
Brown eyes, sharp mind he has like none
He talks good sense and he loves a pun
Special is what he makes one feel,
This man, his lips, his eyes – all real.
I wonder? Would he ever see
This one, ol’ plain Jane – me?

Needless to say Plain Jane is me (a boy) and he never looked at me because (Alas!) he's straight.
