Protein as a vegetarian

Hi Doc

Thank you for answering. I have recently become a vegetarian - no red or white meat or fish. I''m worried about not getting enough protein. I try to eat eggs sometimes but they don''t always agree with me. Should i try protein shakes or are there other foods i could eat that would give me my recommended daily intake of protein? I weigh about 46 kilos.

Vrye, just to mention, my height and weight are within a healthy range according to the BMI index. I also have a healthy appetite, but i just wanted to increase my protein.

Hallo Katie
You can eat vegetable protein like lentils, beans, soya, tofu instead of meat/fish.

Geez. Why not just eat meat and get it over with? Unless you are about 1.3 meters tall, you are dangerously under weight and can possibly die (seriously). meat can save your life. ANd I''m not being funny or sarcastic. the eggs not " agreeing"  with you is probably a sign that your questionable eating habits are starting to take its toll on your body.
