Pregnant and Breastfeeding

Hi,I would like to know whether I can still fall pregnant 9 weeks after I had my baby and not using any contraceptive? I am breastfeeding though. I've heard that you do not ovulate while breastfeeding - is this an old wives tale?

While many women do not ovulate while breastfeeding, it is not a reliable method as ovulation can start again unexpectedly. If you don't want to fall pregnant, you should use contraception.

Best wishes
